Legendary Peruvian psyche guitarist Chino Burga is releasing his new work ‘Invokaciones’ later this year on Echodelick Records. It is limited to 300 copies on royal blue vinyl. The first 75 orders receive a ‘Invokaciones’ patch.
Peruvian musician and psyche legend, Chino Burga got his start in the mid 90’s and was member of La Ira de Dios, 3AM & Culto al Qondor. Having already released two incredible albums by Peruvian space-rockers, Culto Al Qondor, Chino began to focus on his solo career
developing his signature drone sound with hard driving kosmische and dark soundscapes creating a hypnotic space trance. The result was the album Letanias.
Influenced by the likes of Klaus Schulze and Manuel Gottsching (Ash Ra Temple, Tangerine Dream, Ashra), the album boasts two 20+ minute monolithic tracks of Kosmiche minimalism and deep space sounds. The tracks were deliberately recorded with a D Minor tuning that vibrates at 396Hz which, some believe, possess a healing quality.
“The album has a whole concept of healing frequencies at 396Hz which is supposed to open your root chakra…and according to metaphysical studies red is the color for that frequency…. I know, I know…hippie bullshit hahahaha but it’s a concept thing!”
Following along the same path, ‘Invokaciones’ creates a heavier, fuzzier wall of sound without losing the hypnotic space trance that he has creatively cultivated.
